It was fun to host Dutch and International guests at our home. Everyone loved Georgian food, wine, dance and singing.
Dutch "Tbilisoba" in the Restaurant "Sokhumi"
Café-restaurant "Sokhumi", located in the town of Hague, Netherlands, is a favorite place for Georgian emigrants. Georgian dishes Izolda Kvitsiani, owner of the restaurant also loved foreigners.
"Sokhumi" became the center of Georgian culture and culinary in Holland. Tika Svanidze-Vancko head of the Georgian Cultural Center and Company "Tika Tour" in Amsterdam organized a celebration of "Tbilisoba" in the Hague organized by the owner of the restaurant "Sokhumi" Izolda Kvitsiani.
In addition to Georgian immigrants in the restaurant, foreigners were also taken away, who threw bricks on the background of Georgian songs. They prepared Khinkali and Sulguni.
Such cultural events are often held in "Sokhumi." According to Konstantine Surguladze, Ambassador of Georgia in the Kingdom of Weddings, such cultural activities contribute to popularization of Georgia.
Many foreigners learned about Georgian and Georgian cuisine from cafe-restaurant "Sokhumi" and they often go to the restaurant to taste Georgian dishes.

Georgian Patriarch Ilia The Second in The Netherlands. May 1999
In the second world war at Texel Island in the Netherlands many Georgians fought against Germans and there were around 800 hundred fallen solder. Tika helped Patriarch to come to The Netherlands and blessed their graves. It was back in 1999 ones Tika was studding at the university. She was an interpreter between the Patriarch and Dutch government too. The Patriarch Ilia The Second stayed in The Netherlands 1 week. Tika got so many blessings from Him. 'I Love our Patriarch so much' - said Tika.
